We all search for meaning in life, even if we are not completely aware of that.

Honestly, we have to find a meaning for our lives to maintain to live. This fact stems from our evolutionary roots. We are the only ones among the living that feel the need for meaning. Because our brains have evolved with a highly developed prefrontal cortex, which allows for advanced cognitive functions like self-awareness. This capacity sets us apart from other living beings and is a primary driver for seeking meaning in our lives.

In our contemporary, fast-paced lives many people struggle to find meaningful purpose. The fact that we are unconnected from our roots in the modern world led many people to suffer from a lack of meaning in their lives. A high number of people are experiencing depression and sometimes they are not aware that depression comes from a lack of meaning.

Depression and suicidal thoughts are very common in today’s world. We are always rushing in life to make money, to get a promotion, or to be “successful” that suits modern life expectations, and we are so deeply giving rein to these. That is why even if we are not aware, we should suspect that our depression can be stemming from the feeling of void.

To live your life full of satisfaction, you have to find a meaningful purpose. First, you should accept that this is a life-long journey, and it is perfectly normal to experience periods of doubt or struggle. Your purpose in life is unique and it can be anything that something to live for.

In this journey, it is important to engage in self-reflection.

Explore your values, passions, and personal strengths.

Establish strong connections and relationships. They can provide profound meanings in life.

Find and pursue a passion that aligns with your core values.

Always seek continuous personal growth and development. Adopting personal growth as a lifelong journey contributes to a sense of fulfillment in life.

I want to recommend a book by Victor E. Frankl: Man’s Search For Meaning. Frankl is a person who had to live in a Nazi camp, his book had an amazing impact on me. I hope you can learn from it.
